RJ Kids Summer Week A - June 28 - July 1

 Rustic Journeys is back with our popular Kids Club Summer Workshops aka "summer camp sessions". 

🎨WHO: children ages 8 - 15 (going into the third grade at minimum)

🎨WHAT: Fun creative 4 "camp like" workshops 

🎨WHEN: Monday - Thursday mornings 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

🎨WHERE: Rustic Journeys Studio area inside the store. 

🎨HOW: We are starting small with 12 children as social distancing and safety is our priority along with our kiddos having fun. 🎨COST: $129 this includes all supplies and materials needed to complete daily projects for all 4 days. 

If your child attended last year and would like to attend this session again - we are happy to accommodate.

Students will have the opportunity to select their project pieces for each day. Projects will include a variety of water color painting and silk screen design on textiles along with the painting of quality wood cutouts and a personalized wooden creation. Some creations take time to dry and go home the next day.

Monday - Textile Art

Using Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint (water-based and eco-friendly) to create watercolor aprons

Once finished students can create a fun Summer Tote Bags using Silkscreen Stencils and Chalk Paste

Tuesday - Wooden Cutout Day*

Paint a 12" - 18" half-inch wooden cutout shape from Signopoly using Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paints

Once finished students can paint a birdhouse and decorate as time allows

Wednesday - Smooshing Day

Students will learn how to create fluid art in a fun new way... smooshing a large 16" x 20" canvas and making a set of 4 coasters.

Thursday - Personalization Day

Students will create an 8"x18" name sign (please provide us with the name or nick name your child would like) and paint a set of interchangeable wood icons of their favorite things.

Parents this is for kiddos only and we allow them to express their creativity. We ask that you allow them the opportunity to create without your assistance. We hope you understand. You are more than welcome to wait in our showroom. However, many parents drop off, run errands, and then pick up. Daily sign in/out is required.
