Bring Your Own Furniture Class - March 10

Let's transform old and boring to new and trendy!

We want to share our love for renewing furniture by simply painting it with chalk mineral paint. Yes! It’s that easy and effortless with Dixie Belle Paint Company products. Come learn from us all the right steps - we are Premier retailers who even train other Dixie Belle retailers.

Learn the Basics .... Prep - 1 Color Paint - Distress - Protect all in 4+ hours!

No sanding or cleaning your piece before class - just knock off the dust.

After our workshop, you will leave with a small piece of furniture completely transformed by YOU plus the confidence and support to continue painting even after the class ends!

Cost: $95 – includes all materials including: 8 oz. of chalk mineral paint, 4 oz. of satin clear coat

RSVP - Select your Color & Pay in Advance online, over the phone, or in person at least 3 days before the class. Space is limited to 4 participants.

What do I bring?

You will bring in any small wood item: a couple of picture frames, a shelf, a chair/stool, maybe even a small side table – nothing bigger than 2 feet tall/wide (A good rule of thumb: if you can carry it by yourself; you can bring it!) Also, think about transporting your new treasure home safely. Perhaps bring a blanket or towels.

What do I wear?

Consider wearing comfortable clothes and something you do not mind getting paint on –just in case. We do have aprons available.

What does Rustic Journeys provide?

Consider us the concierge of chalk painting classes!

Our classes are purposefully limited in participant size to provide a guided hands-on experience from a certified instructor. We provide all the supplies and tools needed for you to be successful– from set up to paint, paint brushes, sand paper, sealer, and final clean up. Plus, you keep all your non-consumable supplies including what is left in your 8-oz. jar of Dixie Belle Paint. Think of it as a learner’s kit to continue painting!

1. Photos please!

Please send us a photo of your piece. This way we can anticipate if your item happens to need a little prep work with a primer before you begin. Does it have a super glossy finish? Is a mahogany or wood that is prone to bleed through if you are going to paint it white.

2. Color please!

Let's set aside your jar of paint --- as we tend to sell out of colors ironically the day or two before your scheduled workshop. There are 64 fantastic colors to choose from, so once you know your color contact us either here, through our Facebook event post, or over the phone, so we can set it aside for you.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

For this class we suggest the minimum age to be at least 13 years old accompanied with a parent.

What are my parking options?

Parking options vary - the closest entrance would be the covered entrance on the north side of the mall just outside of Service Court #3.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please do not bring large/heavy items as we cannot accommodate the loading/unloading necessary for multiple people during the busy day. Plus, we only have a few hours together and it would take much longer for larger items like dressers, chest of drawers, etc. to paint/dry/seal.
